Christmas Wishlist by Art in Residence

All I want for Christmas is… art! Or better: Art in Residence 😃🎅🎄
Last days we wrote a letter to Santa asking books, exhibition tickets and travels all over Italy (and more) to extend our experiences.
A wishlist we decided to share, to make our experiences bigger and bigger.

LIGHT AND SOUND

  • Luminaria – Il cielo è di tutti
    Light installation path in the pubblic spaces of Viterbo, Lazio, Italy, curated by Cantieri d’arte
    Until 12th January 2020, the city hosts light installations by artists Pasquale Altieri, Tommaso Cascella, Massimo De Giovanni, Maddalena Mauri, Federico Paris, Alfredo Pirri, Chiara Tommasi and pop up installations and perfomances by Eva Gerd and Filippo Riniolo. A very special occasion for travelling Lazio.

  • 2219: Futures Imagined
    Exhibition in Singapore at Artscience Museumtm until 5th April 2020
    2219: Futures Imagined is a thought-provoking journey into possible future worlds created through a series of immersive installations, meditative spaces, films, paintings and sculptures.
    Inspired by the work of Singaporean writer and poet Alvin Pang, 2219: Futures Imagined marks this year’s Singapore Bicentennial by looking two centuries into the future.

EUROPE’S DIGITAL DREAM

  • Gameplay
    Exhibition in Barcellona (Spain) at CCCB until 3rd May 2020
    A journeys to the origins of video games, analyses their language and highlights the impact they have had on popular digital culture and on art and society, in order to predict the video arrtist future scenarios. The perfect occasion to visit BAR Project, our resdidence in Barcellona.

    A sort of database and a tool for investigating and spreading the results so far obtained through the intervention of professionals in different disciplines whose goal is to build a new cognitive mapping of the land’s end.
  • Sogni d’oro, Chiaravalle
    Artist’s book by Claudio Beorchia, production Associazione IMAGONIRMIA of Elena Mantoni, in collaboration of Terzo Paesaggio (2019, Viaindustriae publishing)
    Artist’s book in which losing lottery ticket, collected by the artist in the tobacco shop, play as the basis for the composition of short poems inspired by the interpretation of numbers in the Neopolitan Smorfia. Printed in 50 copies, numbered and signed.
  • Morfologia delle meraviglie
    A book by and printed by Officine Saffi
    More than a catalogue, this pubblication included papers and images resulting by the homonym exhibition among the “Trulli” houses of Ostuni, displaying ceramic artworks created by some Italian and international artists, along with a supporting programme of performance and workshops.

    Associazione ETRE is a 10 years old network of thetrical residencies in Lombardy. To celebrate the decennium, ETRE asked residencies to tell their own histories and experiences. A very usefull tool to undestrand how to exit from theatres (museums, studios…) and involve a new audiences.
